September Pastor's Message

We have suffered the loss of two of our faithful members over the past two months, and I am going to feel their absence in many ways, as I am sure you will also. The loss of a loved one is a crisis that every family must face at some time, but it is also difficult for their church family. My comfort in times like these is in the promises of Jesus and in the assurances found in His Word, but also in the Comforter, the Holy Spirit Who brings God’s peace to us. I would like to thank all of our Covenant Partners who have supported our grieving families recently by attending their visitation/funeral services, acts of kindness and cards, and praying for them. I pray that their witness and yours will affect the hearts of all those who gathered here to hear their eulogy, but also the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please be in prayer for these families and for all the families who are suffering after the landfall of hurricane Idalia.
As we move away from Summer into Fall, please renew your commitment to worshiping in the house of the Lord. We look forward to seeing you and your family on Sundays and at other times, such as our Discussion Class, Sundays 9:00 – 9:30 AM; “Better Together” Women’s Bible Study, Tuesdays returning September 5, 10:00-11:00 AM; and the Men’s Bible Breakfast Wednesdays 7:30 – 8:30 AM.
In Christ’s Service,

YOUNG LIFE OF

(ON SUMMER BREAK)

Each Monday evening in the Family Life Center @ 6:00
West Ashley YoungLife
Their Mission:
Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Working with the local church is important to Young Life:
Although congregations can minister in ways we can’t, Young Life has inroads in communities with kids who are disinterested in church. However, as Young Life staff and leaders care for these kids, we try to help them become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ who will one day be active in the life of a local church.
