November Pastor's Message
|
A special thank you goes out to all of our families who have already pledged support for Charleston Presbyterian for 2024. As we move towards the call of a new, full-time pastor, it is crucial that our giving and resulting budget is large enough to support that full-time call, not just a part-time one. I pray that our covenant partners will step up so that our church will have the best options and negotiating room for this new leader. There are many pastoral needs in this congregation and much time is required for ministry and preaching. An active, gifted, full-time pastor is vital.
I am excited for my church and looking forward to her future. I am also excited about working more with Time of Renewal (501c3) and my radio ministry because the Gospel is going out to be heard by potentially millions of people. I believe that our nation and world need more people who know and follow Jesus. Personally knowing Jesus profoundly changes the human heart and mind. But, as Paul asked in Romans 10:14, “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” Please fully support our search for a faithful, full-time pastor and pray for our PNC!
I care deeply about our church, and I love our partners. Laura and I are praying that CPC will succeed and grow with or without us. Charleston Presbyterian is Christ’s Church, and He is the One Who founded it. God has loving plans for CPC and for all of us.
In Christ’s Service,

YOUNG LIFE OF
WEST ASHLEY

Each Monday evening in the Family Life Center @ 6:00
West Ashley YoungLife
Their Mission:
Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Working with the local church is important to Young Life:
Although congregations can minister in ways we can’t, Young Life has inroads in communities with kids who are disinterested in church. However, as Young Life staff and leaders care for these kids, we try to help them become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ who will one day be active in the life of a local church.
