February Pastor's Message
On Sunday, February 11 we will be focusing upon the revealing of Christ to His closest disciples during His transfiguration. Sometimes we think that in order for Jesus to reveal Himself, we must see a miracle or something unexplained happen right in front of our eyes. But I would suggest that God does allow miraculous events and things to happen right before our eyes although we might not always recognize them. Watching people slowly become discipled by the Holy Spirit and God’s revealed Word is certainly just as much of a divine transfiguration of Jesus!
On Ash Wednesday, February 14, will begin our final Lenten season together. The service will begin at 6:00PM and afterwards we will meet for dinner at TBonz restaurant. I do pray and hope that you will spend your Valentines evening with your church family. The message will be, “All You Need is Love.”
One important truth about the transfiguration of Jesus – Jesus took only His closest disciples with Him. He brought Peter, James and John, not all the rest of the disciples or crowds that followed Him only periodically. What does that say to us? It says that the closer we are to Jesus and more faithful we are to His church, the more we will see a revelation of God in us, and the more we shall see our lives transformed.
Please continue to pray for our church family, our PNC, our nation and for people to come to the Lord. I hope to see you in the Lord’s house this Sunday for the Lord’s Supper and afterwards on Truluck Island for our Annual Oyster Roast!

West Ashley YoungLife
Their Mission:
Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Working with the local church is important to Young Life:
Although congregations can minister in ways we can’t, Young Life has inroads in communities with kids who are disinterested in church. However, as Young Life staff and leaders care for these kids, we try to help them become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ who will one day be active in the life of a local church.
